Mobile Dog and Cat Vaccinations in Melbourne
Vaccinations are one of the most effective ways to protect pets from serious infectious diseases. At Nose To Tail Mobile Vet Care, we provide convenient mobile vet vaccinations across southern Melbourne suburbs so your pet can receive simple preventative health care in the comfort of their own home.
Arguably, once of the most important aspects of a vaccination appointment is doing a full physical examination (from Nose to Tail!) to ensure your pet is healthy and to check for any early signs of illness. During the exam we assess your pet’s weight, heart, lungs, abdomen, skin, joints, and oral health, including important preventative advice on cat or dog dental care where needed.
Mobile Puppy and Kitten Vaccinations
Puppy vaccinations are usually given as a series of injections to help build strong immunity while a puppy’s immune system is still developing.
In Australia, puppies typically receive their first vaccination at around 6–8 weeks of age, followed by additional boosters at 10–12 weeks, and sometimes also 14–16 weeks. The number of boosters required depends on the brand of vaccination being administered.
After the initial course is completed, a booster vaccination is given at around 15 months of age then continues annually.
