Dr Melyssa Cotton BSc BVMS
Dr Mel graduated from Murdoch University in Western Australia in 2012. After completing an Internship in Veterinary Medicine and Oncology, she moved to Melbourne where she spent many years working in general practices clinics. She is now the proud owner and primary vet behind Nose to Tail Mobile Vet Care.
Throughout her 15 year career, Dr Mel has seen first hand the positive impact home visits can have on both pets and their families. She is passionate about providing personalised health care for pets and believes in building genuine, long-term relationships with the families she works with.
Dr Mel has a particular interest in caring for senior pets and is passionate about helping families navigate the unique challenges that come with looking after ageing animals. She provides dedicated palliative care consultations as part of the Sunset Vet group who have a special focus on providing comfort and quality of life for pets living with chronic or life-limiting conditions.
Dr Mel has also spent many years working closely with animal rescue organisations, helping to rehabilitate homeless pets to prepare them for adoption. She currently works with The Vet Project helping to make desexing surgeries affordable and accessible to the wider community.
